Introduction
Biblical References
Matthew 3:13-16
In these verses we read about Hazrat Isa al Masih coming to the Prophet Yahia (PBUH) to be baptized. Baptism, being immersed in water, was a special sign to show God and the people that the person was devoting themselves to God. When Jesus was coming out of the water, the Spirit of God descended upon him. This was how God anointed Jesus with his Spirit and gave Hazrat Isa the power he needed to fulfill his calling.

He reads words of the Prophet Isaiah (PBUH) where God promised to anoint someone with his Spirit to set them free. John 7:37-39
At a special festival, Hazrat Isa al Masih announced to everyone that he was the one God had chosen to give people the Spirit of God. He would do that, but only after he was glorified. So, we have to ask - what did Hazrat Isa mean "by being glorified"? That is a question we will answer in another post.
